Meet the team

My name is Hannah James, and I am the Managing Director of Jack’s Place Care CIC.

I founded Jack’s Place in 2004 with a clear vision: to create a safe, welcoming, and meaningful place where adults with disabilities could feel valued, supported, and part of a community.

Jack’s Place has grown into a farm-based day care and education setting, offering purposeful days through animal care, outdoor activities, creative projects, life skills, and social connection. I believe strongly in giving people choice, routine, encouragement, and the opportunity to grow in confidence at their own pace.

I take a very hands-on approach and remain closely involved in the day-to-day running of Jack’s Place. What matters most to me is that every person who attends feels respected, included, understood, and able to be themselves.

My passion has always been to offer more than traditional day care. I want Jack’s Place to be somewhere people feel safe, happy, valued, and truly belong.

Amber Maybank – Administrator and a key support

I have worked in the care sector for 19 years, gaining extensive experience and a deep passion for supporting others. I hold NVQ Level 3 and Level 5 in Health and Social Care, along with additional extensive training, which has strengthened my expertise, particularly in working with individuals with learning difficulties and mental health challenges.

In January 2024, I took on a pivotal role at Jacks Place Care as an Administrator and a key support to the Owner/Director, Hannah. I love the variety within my job—every day is different, and we are always doing something new and uplifting. My position allows me to play an essential part in the daily operations of the service, ensuring its smooth running and the delivery of high-quality care. I work closely with staff, clients, and families to provide effective support and help shape a nurturing and inclusive environment.

I have lived in Malvern all my life. Outside of work, I run a small livery yard and enjoy horse riding. Travelling is another passion of mine, and I love going on holiday to explore new places. My family and friends are extremely important to me. I am committed to supporting the people I work with and brightening their day.

Graham volunteer

Graham is a valued volunteer at Jack’s Place who brings a positive attitude and great sense of humour to the farm. He enjoys helping with practical tasks and getting involved in activities, supporting both staff and attendees. Graham’s friendly nature and willingness to help make him a much-appreciated part of the Jack’s Place community.
